You can have a huge play structure -- for free
If you're in the market for a playstructure for your children, you might not find a better deal than this.
A Tigard family has to get rid of the structure because it violates the city's zoning and building codes. This isn't a little, rinky-dink structure, though. It's two stories and has a climbing rope, storm windows and a climbing wall.
The family is looking to give the structure away, so if you think you can get it home, you can e-mail the owner directly.

Important note from the homeowner: The structure is so large that it would need to be disassembled and then reassembled at its new home. It isn't possible to pull it out in one piece so the new treehouse owner would need someone to take it apart and put it back together. Thanks!

Our family has a perfect home for this tree house, My mother which is a grandmother of 7 and of all the neighbor kids, has a large property that would fit this tree house perfect, we have a family of hard working men that would be more then happy to help by disassembling and removing it for your family. Please contact Brenda at: 503-375-3914.

Hello,
I saw your article on the news tonight and would love to have this playhouse for my 9 year old grandson and 6 year old granddaughter. They are currently, happy as could be playing in a pop up tent and a rope swing, but this would be over the top. We have 3 grown boys with strong backs and to help move it without damaging the house or your property.
Thanks Mary Hegnes

If you end up, after everyone ahead of me, still with the structure, my husband is a contractor. He can tear it down, transport it, and put it back together on our 1/2 acre. Our 3 grandkids could really use something like this, and like I said - my husband is a contractor - I'll never get one made. We have 2, 3 yr olds and a 10 month old. So it would be used and greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gail

We are currently developing a youth/childrens camp in Timber (south of Vernonia). We have a federally recognized tax exempt status ( 501(c)3 ) and can offer you a tax donation. You put your own value on the donation. Many children from all over the portland metro area will enjoy your tree house for years to come. We have a team of folks to disassemble and move the structure. Please consider us as we are in desperate need of things like this for the camp. We are currently fund raising for the proper permits and are developing as we go. Thank you so much!

Wow, its got to be sad to see your tree house go. You must have kids that will be disappointed too. I am truly supportive of the house going to the camps for kids. If that doesn't work out and you are still looking for a good home for your house, we would enjoy putting as much fun in it as I am sure your family has. Grandma and Grandpa were thinking about their grandchildren when they sent the information to me. I hope your tree house finds a happy home.
